Ceremony Colorguard
The JROTC Colorguard serves as the ceremonial unit responsible for presenting our Colors with dignity and precision. The standard formation consists of the American Flag, State Flag, and Battalion Flag, flanked by two rifle bearers who serve as ceremonial guards for the Colors.
The Colorguard tradition traces its origins to the formation of the United States Military, where such units were established to honor fallen service members and pay tribute to the United States of America. This time-honored tradition continues to represent the highest standards of military ceremony and respect.
Our Colorguard Team is tasked with presenting the Colors at major school and civic functions throughout the community. The team regularly participates in Plano Senior pep rallies, football games, and other significant events where the formal presentation of Colors is required. Through these appearances, the Honor Guard upholds the solemn responsibility of representing our nation's flag with the reverence and military bearing it deserves.
